An update to a story myFM covered last week.
Elgin OPP investigators have determined there were three individuals in a vehicle struck from behind by a tractor-trailer last Tuesday afternoon on Hwy. 401 near Mill Road in Southwold Township.
However, the identities of the three victims of the crash have not been confirmed.
The vehicle had slowed down due to an earlier collision in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near Colonel Talbot Road. After being struck, the vehicle burst into flames.
The investigation is continuing, and updates will be provided as they become available.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage that captured the vehicles involved in this collision is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
