An Aylmer resident is celebrating a $100,000 lottery win after matching a MAXPLUS prize in an October LOTTO MAX draw.
David D. won the prize in the October 2nd draw, after purchasing his ticket at the Circle K on Talbot Street West in Aylmer.
According to OLG, David has been playing LOTTO MAX since it launched in 2009. He scanned his ticket using the OLG app the day after the draw and was surprised when $100,000 appeared on his screen.
He initially questioned whether the app was working before showing his wife, who also wanted to make sure the win was real. The couple then went to a store to validate the ticket and confirm the prize.
David says he plans to use the winnings to pay some bills and retire.
