Residents across St. Thomas-Elgin are being advised to prepare for frost overnight.
Environment Canada has issued a Yellow Frost Advisory, with temperatures expected to fall to near or below the freezing mark tonight into early Tuesday morning.
The main concern is for cold-sensitive plants, trees and crops, which could be damaged by the overnight temperatures.
Residents are being encouraged to take preventative measures, including covering plants, particularly those in areas prone to frost.
The latest forecast from Environment Canada calls for a low around two degrees in the St. Thomas area, with patchy frost possible overnight.
The advisory is in effect for St. Thomas, Aylmer, and Eastern Elgin County.
