Aylmer voters will have several ways to cast their ballots in the 2026 municipal election.
Voting opens Monday, October 19 at 8 a.m. and closes Monday, October 26 at 8 p.m.
Eligible electors can vote online or by telephone at any time during the voting period.
In-person voting and assistance will also be available at the Voter Help Centre at 25 Centre Street in Aylmer.
The centre will be open October 19 through 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Election Day, October 26, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voters will need their Voter Information Letter, which contains a unique PIN required to cast a ballot, along with their full date of birth.
The Town says Voter Information Letters were expected to arrive in mailboxes in early October.
Anyone who does not receive their letter by October 16 can visit the Voter Help Centre during the voting period with eligible identification showing their name and address.
Staff can confirm the voter’s information and issue a Voter Information Letter, including the PIN needed to vote, if the person is an eligible elector.
Residents can check whether they are registered to vote through Ontario’s voter registration service. Those who need to make changes to their information can also visit Town Hall with proper identification.
To be eligible to vote, you must be a Canadian citizen, be at least 18 years old on Election Day, and either live in Aylmer, own or rent property in the town, or be the spouse of a property owner or tenant.
