Residents needing a police record check through the St. Thomas Police Service are being encouraged to plan ahead, as high application volumes are leading to longer wait times.
Police say processing is currently taking approximately three weeks, and applicants should submit their requests well before they need the completed check.
Residents are also reminded to confirm with the organization requesting the record check which type of screening is required before applying.
The Service asks applicants to be patient and avoid calling for status updates while applications are processed.
