A dispute between a landlord and tenant in St. Thomas has resulted in 2 arrests. On Sunday (Aug 3) the St. Thomas Police Service were called to a residence in the South end of the City due to a dispute between a landlord and a tenant over rent that was allegedly owned. It is alleged that the female landlord assaulted the female tenant resulting in the tenant using pepper spray on the landlord.
As a result of a police investigation, both the 55 year old landlord from Woodstock and the 31 year old tenant from St. Thomas are both facing charges.
The 55 year old is being charged with assault and the 31 year old is facing a possession of a prohibited weapon charge. Both of the females were released with future court dates.
