The Aylmer Fair will be taking place this weekend from August 9th to 11th. The annual fair features fun for the whole family with rides, games, activities, and entertainment happening throughout the entire weekend. The fair will kick off on Friday (Aug 9) with kids day at the fair where children 12 and under will receive free admission to the grounds up until 6 p.m. Friday will also feature children’s games, Wilson’s Magical Dynasty at 5 p.m. and the Banger races beginning at 7 p.m.
Saturday is Demo day at the fair and will see many fun activities and exhibits throughout the day including an Apple Pie Contest and Dairy Show but will end off with a bang with the fair favourite Demolition Derby. The fair will come to an end on Sunday with the Big Creek Tractors Pullers beginning at 1 p.m. If the main events aren’t your thing, each day at the fair will feature rides, a petting zoo, bubble zone, silent auctions, face painting and so much more.
Parking on site does cost $2, with admission to the grounds being $7 for people 13 and older and children 6-12 being $5. Advance ride bracelets can be purchased up until Thursday (Aug 8) for $20 at Elgin Feeds, Downtown Convenience, or at the fair office in Aylmer and are also available at Why Not Cookies in St. Thomas.
