This year’s St. Thomas Fire Muster Days has been canceled. The fire muster days committee announced the difficult decision to cancel the August 31st event in Pinafore Park on Facebook.
The post thanks the committee, businesses and firefighters that have supported the event over the last 36 years.
myFM News’ emails and calls to Fire Muster Days Chair Daryl Smith have gone unanswered and no reason for the cancellation was given in the post.
Fire Muster days started out as a weekend event on the Labour Day weekend in Pinafore Park that featured a parade down Talbot Street with antique and modern fire trucks, a car show, live entertainment, activities and vendors in the park for children and people of all ages. The event shifted to a one day event in recent years.
