With the final long weekend of the summer approaching, it looks like residents will be able to spend it outside. Environment Canada is reporting sunny skies for both Saturday, Sunday and Monday this Labour Day long weekend.
Just like having to get through the work week to see the light at the end of the tunnel, we had to get through yesterday’s rain and thunderstorms in order to enjoy the sun that is supposed to stick around for the rest of the week. Starting off the weekend we will see sun with a high of 25 degrees on Friday, with similar temperatures all weekend, as Saturday will see a high of 22 and on Sunday a high of 24.
It’s not all sunshine and rainbows though as the first day of school for most people in the area will also bring grey skies and showers, and not just the ones that are sure to be rushing down some children’s faces. Be sure to pack an umbrella if you plan on walking on the first day as it is calling for a 60% chance of showers to kick of the school year.
