The St. Thomas Police are setting the Dalewood Bridge as a targeted area of enforcement. Traffic specialist Constable Chad Nevill has been receiving complaints of speeding on the bridge since the new one reopened in July.
Constable Nevill along with general patrol units will be focusing on the bridge area and will have zero tolerance to speeding in the area. Police say that they are concerned with speeding in the area given that there is a school safety zone very close to the bridge.
They are asking the public to slow down and give the new bridge…. a break!
