The St. Thomas – Elgin General Hospital Foundation has received a $15,000 donation from The Port Stanley Lions Club Marr Family Golf Tournament and Fish Fry. The donation in partnership with Shoppers Drug Mart at First Ave and Elm Street is the Lion’s Club’s 10th year of hosting the tournament benefiting STEGH.
President of the Lions Club and Pharmacist Owner of Shoppers Rick Nemett says they support the hospital because of how many lives it touches in the community.
Executive Director of the Foundation Paul Jenkins says that the donation will help to improve the department.
Jenkins says that they are extremely thankful for the partnership with the Lions Club. This year’s donation brings the tournament’s 10 year donation total to over $100,000.
