The 3rd Annual Junior Jumbo Mud Challenge will be taking place this Saturday at Faith Church in St. Thomas from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The mud challenge gives children ages 4-14, the chance to get dirty all in support of 3 great charities. Participants will get to run or walk with their team through the 1.5 km obstacle course that will test their stamina, strength, determination, but most importantly their ability to have fun.
Pedro Gavilanez who is one of the coordinators of the Junior Jumbo Mud Challenge says the event is not a race.
Gavilanez says there will also be food trucks and other fun activities for the whole family including a parents alley where mom and dad can run along side their kids. They will also have rock climbing and others games for people who wish to participate in the day but don’t want to get dirty.
Registration for the event is $50 per participant and can be done in person the day of the event. All money raised from the event will be going to support 3 local charities including Bridges Out Of Poverty, Courage For Freedom, and Youth Unlimited.
