Our Place Respite Inc. will be holding a Pop Up Art Show on Friday, October 4th at The Nook in St. Thomas. The show will be running from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will showcase all of the work that members of the program have been working on throughout the year.
Our Place Respite Inc. is a day program for adults with disabilities that is run out of the basement at Lutheran Redeemer Church in St. Thomas. Items in the show are completely hand made by the friends at Our Place Respite Inc. and will be for sale if people stumble upon something that catches their eye. All money raised throughout the show will be going back into the program to go towards activities and materials for future projects they have planned.
President of Our Place Respite Inc. Julia Margetts says they want people to focus on their abilities, rather than their disabilities.
Seed Confections will also be on hand at the art show, supplying guests with beautiful treats to snack on while they peruse through the art.
