The case of former St. Thomas Police Constable Garry Christiansen continued on Wednesday (September 18). Christiansen was originally scheduled for sentencing but instead the court heard victim impact statements.
Christiansen is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, sexual exploitation and assault. These charges relate to incidents from 2016 and 2017 between Christiansen and a girl younger than the age of 16. Christiansen pleaded guilty in June to one count of sexual interference.
The sentencing will now take place on October 11th.
