A 22 year old Malahide man has been charged following a RIDE check that took place in Aylmer. On September 18th around 11:15 p.m. the Aylmer Police Service stopped a 2019 Honda Civic during a RIDE Check on John Street North and Chestnut Street. The 22 year old driver was issued a roadside test that resulted in a “ALERT” reading.
While speaking with the driver, the officer noticed a clear bag on the passenger seat that included a plant/stem like substance that was brown in colour and believed to be Psilocybin (Magic Mushrooms). The 2.5 grams of Psilocybin was seized by the officer. The 22 year old male was charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Schedule II Substance and was also issued a 3 day license suspension.
