The Thames Valley District School Board says that they are looking into what the impact of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) job action will have on learning, working and worksite operations on their premises. A work-to-rule will begin on Monday by custodians, clerical workers and early childhood educators in Ontario.
The board says that their schools will be open to staff and students during the work-to-rule and they will be providing updates as they become available.
The two sides will be back at the bargaining table this weekend as bargaining days have been set for Saturday and Sunday.
Contracts for Ontario’s public school teachers and education workers expired at the end of August.
