St. Thomas and Elgin County residents had a chance to have their questions answered by the Elgin-Middlesex-London candidates in the October 21st Federal election. Six of the seven candidates were present in the auditorium of Memorial Arena.
Each candidate was given the opportunity to answer each of the 18 questions that were asked by those in attendance.
myFM spoke with those leaving the meeting and asked why they decided to attend the meeting.
Those we spoke to say that they were happy with the wide range of questions that were asked.
Each candidate was given the opportunity to close with a 1 minute speech on why residents should vote for them.
Candidates in attendance included Pam Armstrong of the Liberals, Bob Hargraves for the NDP, Peter Redecop for the Christian Heritage Party of Canada, Richard Styve for the Libertarian Party, Donald Helkaa from the People’s Party of Canada and incumbent Karen Vecchio for the Conservatives.
Ericha Hendel for the Green Party was not in attendance.
