St. Thomas Resident Donald Helkaa is the People’s Party of Canada Candidate for Elgin-Middlesex-London in the October 21st Federal Election. The 26 year-old Helkaa is a founding member of the party and believes that everyone should be involved in the decisions that govern over their lives.
The People’s Party of Canada was founded in the fall of 2018 by Maxime Bernier after he resigned from the Conservative Party.
Helkaa says that the party would like to make government less involved in people’s lives.
Halkaa says that he has been receiving a lot of positive feedback from residents on the campaign and would like to keep that going right through to election night.
