A 22 year old male is facing an assault charge after the St. Thomas Police say he assaulted a child in a stroller on Sunday (October 6). Police were called around 1:30 p.m. after the accused was witnessed striking a child that was sitting in a stroller.
Officers located the accused a short distance away and charged him with one count of assault. Police say that the child was not physically injured and was taken to a relative to be cared for. The accused will answer the charge at a further court date.
