St. Thomas City Council will be voting on allocating an additional $99,185 in funding for renovations to a building at 1Password Park. The funding request is for the renovations to the existing Dyno Building at the Burwell Road north facility. This would be the final debenture of the facility.
Council originally approved $250,000 for the renovations in the original funding for the complex. The building will store the City’s new parks vehicles and equipment. Staff is recommending that council award the tender of the project to the lowest bidder of “SDI Builders Ltd.” at $343,373.
The project would begin once there is substantial completion of 1Password Park.
Staff say that the funding would come from the more than $285,000 in funding for the project that has not has been allocated.
