A St. Thomas man is facing a nearly $500 fine and 6 demerit points after he allegedly did not stop for a school bus. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon while the bus was dropping off students after school on Southgate Parkway.
The driver was heading east while the bus was traveling westbound. The bus had both the stop lights and stop bar activated. The bus driver honked at the vehicle but the driver kept on going.
The bus driver recorded the license plate and reported it to the police who then located the driver the next day. The 32 year old man was issued a $490 fine and 6 demerit points.
