After just over a month of campaigning, tonight we will find out who will form the next Canadian government.
Voters who didn’t take advantage of the advance polls will be able to cast ballots between 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. today. In order to vote in the 2019 Federal Election you must be 18 years or older, a Canadian citizen and you must be able to prove your identity and address. To find out where you need to go to cast your vote, you can check the back of your voter information card or visit elections.ca and enter your postal code. If you have a voter information card, take it with you when you go to vote at the polling station to make the process go a little smoother.
Locally we will be voting for a member of Parliament to represent us in Ottawa. Candidates running in Elgin-Middlesex-London include Pam Armstrong for the Liberals, Bob Hargraves for the NDP, Donald Helkaa for the People’s Party of Canada, Ericha Hendel for the Green Party, Peter Redecop for the Christian Heritage Party of Canada, Richard Styve for the Libertarian Party of Canada and incumbent Karen Vecchio for the Conservatives.
