Residents who are hoping to vote today but didn’t pre register will still have the opportunity to do so. Those who didn’t register will still be able cast their vote, as last minute registration can be done at your local polling station. To find out where your polling station is located, all you have to do is enter you postal code on Elections Canada’s website or call their toll free number.
Those hoping to skip the lines can also enter their information online and print out their pre-filled registration certificate and bring it with them to the polls. In order to register and vote on election day, electors must bring accepted ID’s in order to prove their identity and address. Some acceptable forms of ID include your driver’s licence, birth certificate, health card, Canadian passport, social insurance number card, as well as bank statements and utility bills.
