The Aylmer Police have arrested a 29 year old man after they received a report of a male party that was seen smashing the window of a vehicle. The incident occurred on Murray Street on Saturday, October 19th. Police located the male who then became combative with the officer who attempted to place him under arrest, resulting in that officer being assaulted.
Further investigation into the incident also revealed that the suspect also assaulted a 60 year old male. As a result the 29 year old male, with no fixed address was charged with mischief under $5000, assault, assault a Peace Officer and resist arrest.
The male was held for bail and was later released with a future court date.
