The 401 westbound is closed between Colonel Talbot Road and Union Road Thursday afternoon after a collision between two tractor trailers. Aside from two tractor trailers no other information on the cause of the collision is available at this time.
The OPP says that the collision will result in lengthy delays as the cleanup is expected to take some time and heavy tow trucks are on scene. The OPP says that no injuries have been reported.
OPP Media Relations Officer Adam Crewdson says that multiple officers are on scene and he is asking that motorists be patient as they work to get those stuck in traffic out.
The Emergency Detour Routes are in place.
