The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital has been recognized for their exceptional organ and tissue donation process for the second year in a row. The hospital has received the conversion rate award from the Trillium Gift of Life Network. The award recognizes hospitals with a high percentage of potential organ donors to actual donors.

Dr. Sheikh says that their conversion rate means that there were no missed opportunities at STEGH this year. STEGH is one of 27 hospitals in Ontario that have received the award this year.
