The St. Thomas Police Service are hosting a charity hockey game where they will be taking on players from 3 local high schools. Grade 12 students from Parkside Collegiate Institute, Central Elgin Collegiate Institute and St. Joseph’s Catholic High School will lace up their skates and take on members of the Police Force’s hockey team.
The St. Thomas Jr. B Stars will be helping to referee and coach the two teams.
School Support Officer Katherine McNeil says even though the STPS Hockey Team is very competitive, the game is all in the name of fun.
McNeil says each participating school is providing a line and a goalie for the high school team.
The game will be taking place on Wednesday, November 20th at 3 p.m. at the Joe Thornton Community Centre and is open to the public. Admission is free however everyone who attends is asked to bring either a donations of a new unwrapped toy, non perishable food donation, or a monetary donation to support St. Thomas-Elgin Christmas Care.
