Three parents in St. Thomas have been arrested and charged with assault after the police say that children were allegedly struck with a belt and brooms on multiple occasions.
A joint investigation with Family and Children’s Services and the police led to the three people turning themselves into the police station on Friday. The police say that all of the parents and three children were living in the home while the children were subjected to the alleged assaults.
A 36 year-old father, 35 year-old mother and a 28 year-old single mother have all been charged with one count of assault and future court dates.
