Springwater Conservation Area’s Christmas Spirit Walk will be taking place this Saturday (December 7). The close to 30 year event in partnership with the Elgin Hiking Trail Club features groups led through the Springwater forest on a path lit by more than 200 candles.
Along the trail the groups will be entertained by choirs, carolers, storytellers, a magician and Santa will also be on hand to visit with the kids.
Outdoor Education Technician of Catfish Creek Conservation Authority Emily Febrey says that the event is very community oriented.
Febrey says that the tours will depart from the south pavilion beginning at 6 p.m. with the last one leaving at 7:50 p.m. The walk costs $7 for adults with children being free.
