The Grace Cafe in St. Thomas will be celebrating their 5 year anniversary on Saturday. The charity has been providing free food, clothing, comfort and company to anyone who walks in their 323 Talbot Street door since 2014.
Six days a week they serve between 80-100 people without any City or government funding.
Founder and CEO Ginny Trepanier says that despite not receiving any funding, the community has always supported them in whatever way they can.
Trepanier says that they will be marking the anniversary on Saturday with a band, special crepes and other food as well as some other items on their clothes horse.
Grace Cafe is open from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday – Saturday and will be open on Christmas Day.
