The OPP are reporting 2 seperate road closures in Elgin County this morning. Police say that Highway 3 (Talbot Line) between Sunset Road and Ron McNeil Line in St. Thomas is closed following a fatal collision. The OPP say that a SUV and transport truck collided around 7:48 this morning. Police are reporting that road conditions did play a factor. The Technical Collision Investigators are on their way to the scene. The area will remain closed until the investigation is complete.
Elsewhere, Imperial Road between John Wise Line and Conservation Line in Aylmer is also closed due to a collision. Police report that it was a single vehicle collision involving one occupant that was airlifted to hospital after striking a hydro pole. Police do not currently have an update on the condition of the person involved. The road will continue to be close for investigation.
