St. Thomas NHL legend and San Jose Shark Joe Thornton and has eclipsed yet another career milestone. The Sharks game on Thursday night at home against the New York Rangers was Jumbo Joe’s 1,600th of his career.
At the age of 40, Thornton is just the 12th player in league history to lace it up in 1,600 regular season games. Thornton registered an assist in the game which the Sharks lost 6-3.
In those 1,600 games Thornton has registered 413 goals, 1,076 assists for a total of 1,489 points. Thornton’s 1,076 assists have him 8th on the league’s all time list, just 3 behind Adam Oates for 7th.
