It was a busy but fantastic year for Elgin-Middlesex-London MP Karen Vecchio. Vecchio, who was re-elected as our local MP in the October Federal election says 2019 was full of new and exciting opportunities including her transition from Shadow Minister for Families, Children and Social Development to Shadow Minister for Women and Gender Equality.
Vecchio says something significant that stands our for her in 2019 was securing funding to reconstruct the Port Bruce Bridge that collapsed in early 2018.
Vecchio says that Federally it was a big year in Ottawa with items such as the SNC Lavalin Affair, the Carbon Tax, and or course the stepping down of Andrew Sheer standing out to her.
Looking forward to 2020 Vecchio says she’s most excited to continue working closely with our local MPP, Mayor’s, Warden’s and Councilors to continue bringing great things to the Elgin-Middlesex-London riding.
