The City of St. Thomas is offering free transit tonight for New Year’s Eve with their “Dial-A-Bus” service. All St. Thomas Transit will be free this evening beginning at 8:15 p.m. until 3:15 a.m. tomorrow morning. There will be one bus that will stick to the Talbot Street route.
The City will also be offering a dial-a-bus service for the rest of the City that will pick you up and drop you off if you call ahead and request it. In order to request the service you must call City transit 1 hour before your pickup time.
In order to call you have to know the nearest bus stop number or the closest intersection with a bus stop. You have to also know the ideal time you’d like to be picked up and the number of people in your group.
Parallel transit riders also have to have their registration number for the door to door service.
The before midnight rides can be pre-booked beginning at 6:45 p.m. and riders for after midnight can start pre-booking at 7:15 p.m.
This service is on a first come first serve basis. For more information, you can visit the City’s website.
