The St. Thomas Police are currently investigating following a break and enter into a downtown jewelry store. Police report that shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Sunday (Jan 5), 2 males smashed the front door of the jewelry store with a tool. Once inside the store, the suspects smashed the glass display cases and stole watches and other jewelry items. The suspects were observed on video surveillance driving a white, late model Ford F-250 pickup truck with regular cab and chrome running boards.
Police describe the first suspect as male, slim, medium height wearing a dark baseball hat, dark jacket, with a light coloured bag. The male was also reported to have been wearing a bandanna and had dark gloves on.
The second suspect is described as male, slim, tall wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, jeans and carrying a bag. The suspect was wearing a bandanna and had white gloves on.
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident, such as the whereabouts of the described vehicle or the suspects are asked to contact the St. Thomas Police or Crime Stoppers.
