The St. Thomas Police have made an arrest in connection to a robbery that took place at a Talbot Street variety store. 31 year old Darren Brown of Watford was arrested on Friday (Jan 17) around 2 p.m. by OPP officers, after he was involved in a collision on the 402 near Delaware.
When OPP officers arrived on scene they discovered that Brown was wanted on a warrant by the St. Thomas Police for one count of Robbery with a Weapon. Police issued this warrant after Brown was identified as the suspect who alleged to have threatened a Talbot Street variety store clerk with a hammer before making off with a small amount of cash during the January 5th incident.
Brown was taken into custody where he was charged and later released on an Undertaking. He will answer to the charges at a later date.
