Everyone knows Hollywood star Jason Momoa is coming to town to film his new TV show, but two residents are taking an extra step to try and get him to pay them a visit. Samantha Daniels and Julia Margetts own Our Place Respite Inc., a day program for adults with disabilities that’s run out of the basement at Lutheran Redeemer Church in St. Thomas.
They shot and created a video with the adults in their program as the stars. It shows them doing various things like baking cookies, having a dance party, and asking Momoa to make time to visit when he’s in town filming for his new Apple TV series “See.”
Daniels says this was a great opportunity to work with the community.
The idea of making a video came up rather quickly, and when Daniels and Margetts approached the group to gauge their thoughts, lots of excitement ensued over the idea, which Daniels says you can clearly see in the video.
Margetts says it would mean something different to everyone if Momoa sees the video and stops by, but most of all it means that the group accomplished a goal together.
