Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas-Elgin is celebrating the Canada wide Thank your Mentor Day with the premiere of their new video. Throughout the entire month of January the organization celebrates Mentor month as a way to promote involvement with their programs.
Executive Director at BBBS of St. Thomas-Elgin Barb Matthews says today is a day where the kids involved in their programs can say an extra special thank you.
Matthews says that today at 9 a.m. they will be premiering their new video that was produced by Grayden Lang to celebrate Thank your Mentor Day. The video shows local mentors with their little brothers and sisters as well as promotes the need for more mentors in the community as their are currently 80 children in Elgin County waiting to be matched.
Matthews adds that those who see the video and want to get involved with the organization, can get in contact with their office.
