A 36-year-old St. Thomas man is facing numerous charges after assaulting and attempting to disarm a city police officer. On Tuesday evening, police responded to a Wellington Street residence where the man refused to leave.
He then became belligerent and threatened to kill the officers. A scuffle broke out and he attempted to grab an officer’s gun.
Joseph Kilbourne was taken into custody where he was charged with disarming a police officer, assaulting police, uttering threats, trespass and breach of conditions.
He will appear in court at a later date.
