The community of Elgin County pulled out all the stops during Random Act of Kindness Day on Wednesday, including a huge act of kindness by Gastech Solutions Inc.
The heating and cooling company located in St. Thomas teamed up with one of their suppliers RUUD to donate a new furnace, complete with full installation to a family in need in Elgin County.
Julie Goodall at Gastech says the company was very eager to get involved in the initiative.
Goodall says that one of the greatest parts about her job is getting to help people in the local community that support their company each and every day.
Along with this large donation, myFM’s Random Act of Kindness Day also saw other amazing acts of kindness such as the purchase of coffee for others in the drive thru, the distribution of free hamburgers from Wendy’s donated by Mayor Joe Preston, flowers given out to brighten peoples day, the donation of a foosball table to the Talbot Teen Centre by Century Sound Sales And Service, and so many more.
