It will be a swinging good time on the beach in Port Stanley this Saturday for the sixth annual Snow Golf Tournament in aid of Crime Stoppers of St. Thomas.
The 18-hole event using a tennis ball and one club is played right on the beach and, as organizer Tim Sheridan points out, weather is not really that much of a deterrent.
Sheridan says the big water hazard on one side of the nine-hole layout has not really claimed any tennis balls over the years.
Sheridan says the fundraising goal this year is $5,000 which helps to pay tipsters who contact Crime Stoppers.
There’s is also a perch dinner scheduled to take place afterward at the Port Stanley Legion.
