The St. Thomas Police are reminding residents of the importance of locking your car door after 3 vehicles were entered in the city on Sunday night. Police report that of the 3 vehicles, 2 of them were located on Peach Tree Blvd. and the other on Lawrence Ave.
The vehicle located on Lawrence Ave had loose change stolen from the inner console and one of the vehicles that was entered on Peach Tree Blvd. had nothing taken as there were no contents left in the vehicle.
The owner of the second vehicle on Peach Tree Blvd. wasn’t as lucky as just under $3000 worth of items were stolen. Police report that golf clubs, a gold bracelet, Nintendo Switch, Coach Sunglasses, Nike shoes and a GPS were among the items taken during the Sunday night theft.
Police are encouraging everyone to take valuables inside at night and lock all doors in an effort to deter thieves from entering your vehicle.
