Those hoping to have an opportunity at the $10,000, 100 Women Who Care grant will only have until Sunday to apply. The grant will be awarded to a deserving woman run initiative, charity or business in Elgin County during a night that looks at celebrating women doing amazing things in our community.
The event titled “100 Women Who Care Elgin” that will be taking place on April 9th at the St. Anne’s Centre, will see $100 contributions from 100 women in the community to create the $10,000 grant. The $100 contribution will also permit a vote on who they think deserves the grant.
Less than 10 voting tickets remain and those that are interested in purchasing one can do so through Eventbrite. Those who wish to attend but not cast a vote can purchase a $30 ticket to take in the evening that will feature presentations, entertainment, dancing, snacks, door prizes and a cash bar.
Voting tickets may only be purchased by females, however the $30 experience tickets are available to everyone. Those who wish to apply for the grant opportunity are asked to email 100women@teamsd.ca for more information.
