Strong winds over the next two days and a high water level have prompted the Catfish Creek Conservation Authority to issue a Lake Erie Shoreline watershed condition statement.
Waves of one and a half metres are expected which could result in an uprush.
Area residents are asked to closely monitor conditions, use caution and stay away from shoreline areas experiencing strong wave action and elevated water levels. Parents are reminded to keep children and pets away from these areas.
The Lake Erie Shoreline watershed condition statement is in effect until noon Friday (Feb 28).
