Those looking to start beach season a little early this year can join in on the 6th annual Polar Bear Dip for Childcan taking place at Little Beach in Port Stanley on Saturday, March 7th.
The event is a fundraiser for Childcan who assists children and families on their journey through childhood cancer. The Polar Bear Dip will see participants run into the cold Lake Erie water and raise funds.
Dippers will meet at the Masonic Centre at 10 a.m. where they will then be bussed to the beach. The dip will take place at 11 a.m. A lunch will be provided for everyone at the Masonic Centre after the dip.
Last years event saw over 200 participants join a team and take the plunge in support of Childcan, raising over $84,000.
