The province’s public school system is the latest victim of the coronavirus outbreak. Thursday afternoon, Premier Doug Ford, Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Stephen Lecce, Minister of Education, announced following the March Break, all public schools in Ontario will remain closed through to April 5.
In a statement released by the premier’s office, the trio noted: “We recognize the significant impact this decision will have on families, students, schools, as well as the broader community, but this precaution is necessary to keep people safe.”
All Thames Valley schools will be open tomorrow and administrative offices will remain open during this time.
