Following the direction taken over the weekend on city-owned recreational facilities, the board of directors at the St. Thomas Seniors Centre made the decision this morning to close the facility due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All programs and planned events at the popular centre will be suspended until further notice. This includes the roast beef dinner planned for Friday. Administrator Dave Warden says the closing offers a unique maintenance opportunity.
Warden adds all events and programs offered by outside groups such as fitness and yoga classes will also resume once the centre re-opens.
