The Municipality of Central Elgin is reminding residents to be careful about what you put in the garbage after their collection crew came across a garbage bag full of medical needles and other hazardous material during a recent collection.
The municipality says that they can’t stress enough the importance of disposing of needles properly. They add that you can find the appropriate containers for needles at any pharmacy, where you can then either take it back to the pharmacy and they’ll dispose of it for you, or take it to a needle drop off location bin.
