A group of local volunteers are helping out those in need in our community during the COVID-19 pandemic by offering free grocery delivery.
What started in London through the London Volunteer Task Force has since made its way to St. Thomas thanks to Kristina Loucks and a number of other volunteers.
Loucks says those wishing to use the service can go online and fill out what they need under $100 and then a volunteer will go out and attempt to purchase the requested items.
Loucks adds that this is all done with zero contact.
This is all done through community volunteers who are using their own money, gas, and time to help out those who need it most. Loucks says she saw a need here locally and decided to help fill it.
