The Faraway Nearby sculptures that were installed at the St. Thomas Elevated Park are being taken down after they were severely vandalized once again early last week.
The 11 piece artwork created by Christine Dewancker was reported to be vandalized sometime over night on Tuesday (March 24), leaving no piece untouched.
President of On Track St. Thomas Serge Lavoie says this is the 4th time the art work has been tampered with, beginning last September when they were vandalized with graffiti.
Lavoie says the more robust design that will make it less vulnerable to damage will be installed once a video surveillance system is put into place later this year.
